National Zoological Park is an imperative part of or in other words is also one of the most significant zoos that Delhi features. It is considered to be one of the most excellent zoos in the whole of Asia. Located nearby the Purana Qila that is also known as the Old Fort.
It is spread over 214 acres pf land and came into existence in the year 1959.the main objective of this zoo has always been to provide shelter to various types of natural species and in the present era it stores more than 2,000 animals and birds species.
These species have come all the way from different parts of the world like Africa, America, Australia and even Asia. This also proves to be one of the most tranquil and peaceful picnic spot in winters. |
