May it be Kali or Durga or Parvati, all are the forms of Goddess Durga. The architecture of this temple is dedicated to the south with pure White Marble and designs going as far as the era of the Dravids- the ancestors of India.
The Dravidian architecture consist of two types of structure out of them one being a tall pyramid kind of a thing and the other being two pillars separated by the means of certain holding.
The white colored temple the lush green gardens totally complement each other, which makes the temple look even more beautiful and gives us a feeling of peacefulness within. The statue of Goddess Durga is also very divine.
There is a tree present in the premises of the temple. Holy thread is suppose to be tied around this tree and simultaneously a wished is asked from the Goddess.
It is said that if asked with full devotion Goddess fulfils all the wishes a person asks for. This temple is also a pilgrim center for many devotees. Situated in Delhi this temple is a boon to this place.
Any mode of transport can be used to reach here. Filled with devotion and respect for the Goddess Chhatarpur temple is widely visited all round the year and mostly during the time when Hindu pooja's take place to praise Goddess Durga. |
